Thinkin' in the shower
Hasn’t it happened to you that you think a little too much, and your ideas or points of view just flow better while you’re taking a shower?
Haven’t you imaged a utopia where everything on earth is just perfect? But then, if it’s perfect, would we call it life? Would it take place here, on earth? Would it be as meaningful to have an ideal life elsewhere?
Or maybe you’ve had some deep thinking about a conversation you had like four years ago and wished you said things differently. Then, you imagine the conversation to have taken a completely different course and changed something in your life.
Well, all of the above (and more) are thoughts that have crossed my busy thinking brain. And I thought some are worth sharing and some are better buried 20 feet underground (or thrown into a volcano so that nobody can unbury them– see? I always think to the extreme). I think for a living (no, I’m not a philosopher), and I think after work hours, too. Sometimes this is exhausting, but it’s also gratifying to be able to, at least, try to think about a problem from different points of view.
This will be a space (and Instagram, occasionally) where I will be writing about some of them. If you read the posts, you might think, “oh, yes, exactly what I was thinking.” Or you might go, “what is this person talking about.” But that’s okay. I am the type of person who thinks both about my own thinking, so there is no space to judge your judgment on mine. After all, that’s life, ain’t it?
